2016 -

InterIKEAsystem

Returning to IKEA now with a big back of knowledge in the retail business.

My background has given me a deep insight into shopping centers and the retail industry in general, and I have actively contributed to increasing my colleagues' understanding of the field.
In these years, IKEA is undergoing a transformation from simply building traditional warehouses to a much more diverse establishment pattern. This includes pop-up stores, IKEA locations in the city center, and smaller retail units in shopping centers. My many years of experience and expertise play a decisive role in this context. For the past year and a half, I have worked exclusively with trade dress and branding of all these new concepts, which further strengthens my ability to bring IKEA's vision to life in different spaces and environments.

2009 - 2016

SAGERdesign, later SAGERarchitect by architect Charlotte Sager

Through many years in the Scandinavian retail and shopping center industry, I have acquired a deep insight into the market, its instruments, economy, demographic, composition, and customer behavior. This, combined with my architectural skills, has reinforced my competence, concerning all types of tasks within the retail industry. All this came into play in my company

2000 - 2009

Evenden A/S, Partner, architect m.a.a

During my years with Evenden, DK, I worked exclusively with shopping centers, both in the overall planning, down to the individual design solutions.

I increased my knowledge of all aspects of this industry. My knowledge in this area covers all elements from the traffic and infrastructure for customer service, ie. customer information system (signage), customer service, and other secondary offerings.

In my 9 years of employment and partnership, I was in charge of the office, staff, and the day-to-day businesses. As a project leader, I was conducting various big projects for Evenden, in Denmark as well as in Poland and Portugal.

1992 - March 2001

Inter IKEA Systems Humlebæk.Dk / Väla.Sverige

I was employed as an architect and project manager for Inter IKEA System, being responsible for the development and execution of several IKEA outlets, especially in England and France.

My project in Nantes was one of the first when IKEA tested a "full function" IKEA store, fully integrated into a shopping mall.

In my time I have been involved in nearly 16 IKEA stores, mainly in England and France.
